Industrial biotech and bioeconomy: the fifth edition of the Italian forum to be hosted in Lombardy

Lombardy is one of the most developed European region, due to its position, the quality of universities, research centers and industrial clusters. Bioeconomy is part of the attractivity of Lombardy as a place where to invest and is one of the industries able to boost the economy.

For these reasons the Italian Forum on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioeconomy (IFIB) will take place in Lombardy and precisely in Lodi, which will play the role of capital of Euro-Mediterranean area for bioeconomy. Lodi is head of a province next to Milan, it is small but densely populated by business and actually is perfectly integrated in the Milan system of business and transports.

IFIB will be held from 24th to 25th September 2015 the forum will be organized at the Auditorium of the Popular Bank of Lodi, an architectural complex designed by the famous Italian archistar Renzo Piano.

The program is animated by universities, research centers, SMEs and big corporations and is impressive in terms of numbers: 200 delegates, 15 different countries represented, 30 presentations divided in different sessions: Life Sciences, Environment, Energy and Biorefineries, Agro-food, Bio-based Chemistry and Policies. The aim of the conference is to be one of the leading bioeconomy event in the Euro-Mediterranean area.

Invest in Lombardy will take part in the Italian Forum on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioeconomy not only being among the speakers, but also organizing an event at the Expo2015, inside Planet Lombardy –  Regione Lombardia. It will be the occasion to introduce Invest in Lombardy services and investment opportunities.
